Tierkloof (Boesmanland) fun and games, Northern Cape


Day 1

Wellington to Cederberg Oasis. Leisurely drive to Chantal and Gerrit to sample their outstanding hospitality. It’s your call if you want a  500g or 800g T-bone on your plate that night.

Day 2
Cederberg Oasis to Tierkloof. Through the Cederberg valley to Wuppertal and on to “Die Engelsman se graf”. Up Moedverloor past the “Riet huisies” to lunch! After lunch we do the loop down “Skaapie mee” pass and head to Tierkloof.

Day 3
Tierkloof, we are spending the day with Glene and Stollie and have the fun of a life time on a real Boesmanland farm. many routes and pans are waiting for our arival. The instructors on the ride will help you get the most out of this ride. Verneukpan is around the corner but we have our own pans to play with. Verneukpan is known for its speed record breaking attempts, however on Tierkloof the group will make their attempts. The winner of the floating trophy will have travelled the slowest over a measured distance.

Day 4
Tierkloof outride; After the most amazing sunrise and breakfast we take the many back roads for a outride with a difference returning to the farm for some more fun in the skills area's, Want some sand? They have got it.
Distance for the day 160 km

Day 5
Tierkloof to Wellington. After a scrumptious breakfast it’s down the Gannaga pas into the Tankwa karoo for some great views, riding and lunch! After lunch like all good things this trip comes to an end but not before crossing the Bokkerivier nature reserve and the famous town of Ceres. Mitchell’s and bains kloof pass takes us home!
